My research combines freshwater ecology, conservation policy, and river restoration strategies to support freshwater ecosystems and the people that depend on them. I have worked in rivers around the world, and I prioritize collaborating with local communities to develop research questions and target specific restoration problems. I am especially interested in how large-scale human activities, like building hydropower dams or writing conservation policies, impact river ecosystems and the species that occupy them.
I am currently a PhD candidate at University of California, Berkeley, working with Dr. Justin Brashares and Dr. Albert Ruhi. Check out my TEDx talk about hydropower development at the TEDx Fulbright event in Glasgow, Scotland! |
