My research combines freshwater ecology, conservation policy, and river restoration strategies to support freshwater ecosystems and the people that depend on them. I have worked in rivers around the world, and I prioritize collaborating with local communities to develop research questions and target specific restoration problems. I am especially interested in how beaver restoration in stream systems across North America can help us adapt to global climate change.
I am currently a postdoc at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, working with Dr. Emily Fairfax. I got my PhD from the University of California, Berkeley with Dr. Justin Brashares and Dr. Albert Ruhi.
